Celebrating Unintentional Moments of Sisterhood
As our youngest girls get older, I can’t help but revel in watching them grow together.

They have such an incredible bond of sisterhood, even in the moments when they may not understand it.
As Jaden and Jaci enter their teen years, their relationship teeters on the makings of a great love-hate relationship.
Unintentional Moments of Sisterhood
But, with Joeli, forever the baby, her unconditional love reels them all in whenever they need it most.
Considering we already have two grown and out of the house (one married), I often want to pause time and capture every moment.
To be intentional and purposeful in celebrating even the smallest things in their young lives.
Most of all, I enjoy finding them in candid times of celebrating unintentional moments of sisterhood.
With just a couple weeks of summer under their belts, Jaden and Jaci sat Colby and me down one afternoon and presented us with a 15-minute PowerPoint slideshow about a business idea that had.
As the older two girls stood and talked through their well-scripted pitch, Joeli sat between her dad and me on the couch and executed the perfectly crafted music playlist for her sisters.
Once the girls were done with their presentation, they handed Colby and I a contract they drew up and waited for us to comment. It was one of those amazing family moments I want to forever remember.
Not only because my girls are remarkable young entrepreneurs, but because of the way the three of them came together with an impressive plan and put it into action.
Working together, they were able to convince their dad and me of their money-making proposal.
Since then, they have collaborated on creating their online presence, organizing and photographing their inventory, and negotiating with buyers.
At only 11 and 13, these two are killing it. Oh, and Joeli?
She enjoys her part as a quiet partner and snack supplier.
Joeli has discovered that N.B.T.F. Nothing But The Fruit™, now available at over 7,500+ Starbucks stores nationwide, is the perfect keep-going afternoon snack for her sister’s work days.
The bite-sized snacks are made with 100% real fruit that is picked, pureed, and pressed — and just what the girls need as they continue pushing forward.
They need snacks that fuel their body and minds without causing a crash soon afterward. After all, Sisters + Snacks + Sales = Super Day!
As a fellow entrepreneur, I could not be more proud of their business mindset and determination at such a young age.
As their mother, I am elated about the love, patience, and care they show towards each other.
In fact, their passion goes beyond what they are doing. I encouraged them to consider adding a charity aspect to their business, and they have.
It encourages me to know that the love we share as a family is something that will forever follow them as they spread their wings in the world one day.
For now, I continue to watch for those unintentional moments of sisterhood I find them in. Those times of laughter, quiet devotion, or sweet surrender.
Healthy snacking is a huge part of family life but also helps bring families together. Whether it is after school, a road trip, or a weekend afternoon sharing a healthy snack together, it’s a perfect way to connect.
N.B.T.F. Nothing But The Fruit™ is a new healthy snacking brand that is Non-GMO, Vegan & Gluten Free with no added sugars, artificial preservatives, artificial flavors, fillers, or waxes. Look for N.B.T.F. at a Starbucks near you.
