Happily Ever Avery // Prepping for Chemo
Avery received platelets around 1am and will have another this morning to get her count above 100 as they are prepping for chemo today.
Our granddaughter was diagnosed with Pre B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 7 weeks. Follow her journey as we, her family, choose to stay positive as we continue to believe in our Happily Ever Avery.
Avery received platelets around 1am and will have another this morning to get her count above 100 as they are prepping for chemo today.
I know our main focus is on Avery’s health and well-being, as it should be, but please keep her Big Sister in your thoughts and prayers as well.
They are still talking about the possibility of another LP (lumbar puncture/spinal tap) tomorrow before they start the new chemo medicines.
Current hospital policy, due to COVID, only allows one parent. They’re trying to balance the delicacy of having an infant with cancer and being fair and safe for the other patients.
We cannot say enough “thank yous” for the outpouring of love and support we received thus far in this journey.
The oncologist said she couldn’t look better than she does right now. They’re very optimistic and all of Avery’s numbers look pretty good.
