We cannot say enough “thank yous” for the outpouring of love and support we received thus far.
It’s almost impossible to consider how much happened just yesterday.
In the world of pediatric oncology, we respect the fact that it went as well as we could have expected.
We knew the diagnosis was coming. We were very worried about the aggressiveness and type of leukemia we were facing.
The Doctors have remained hopeful through their conversations with us, while being as factually honest about the possibilities as well.
We’re choosing to focus on the positives, staying away from “Dr. Google,” and praying for full remission for our precious girl.
The oncologist told Mom & Dad that when it comes to pediatric oncology, we are allowed to expect a “cure.”
Children, especially infants, have bodies that can still be manipulated and changed.
Meaning, we can completely force the leukemia out of her little body.
There’s always a chance of “secondary leukemia” in adulthood, but it’s rare and we are absolutely not claiming that for Avery.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”– Romans 12:12

How can you help from home?
First, prayer. We need to continue to storm the gates of heaven for Avery.
Their biggest tangible needs are food and money. Even with insurance, the costs are undoubtedly going to continue to add up.
For starters, we set up a GoFundMe with a tentative amount that will most likely go up as we continue: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-baby-avery-beat-leukemia
To help them stay fed while at the hospital, we’ve found DoorDash gift cards are best: https://doordash.launchgiftcards.com/
