Colby and I are currently on a wellness journey that involves eating healthy and working out daily. It has been great so far and one of our favorite tools in the process has been our new Ninja® Ultima™ blender. We both enjoy a good smoothie and have enjoyed trying new recipes since we got the Ninja.
Ninja Ultima Blender
I do not think either of us knew the power of the Ninja Ultima Blender when it arrived. After we began to unbox it and get a good look at everything, we were even more excited to get started. It arrived just days before we were going to begin our new journey and it meant more anticipation.
We researched the foods we could eat and went looking for healthy recipes to incorporate with the Ninja Ultima. In fact, with Ninja’s Total Crushing™ Technology, we immediately thought of smoothies. Smoothies are a great way to incorporate several of our favorite fruits into a flavorful drink. This technology spins 4 stacked blades at a speed of 5,000 RPMs to blast through tough ingredients like ice, frozen fruit and nuts. But that is not all!
We have learned new ways to add healthy recipes into our diet without a big hassle. The Ninja can handle more than smoothies. This powerful blender can help you create soups, sauces, salsas… and more recipes that do not even start with an “s”. Plus, it can do it quickly and mess-free. Get professional results and impress your family thanks to this one small appliance.
Top O’ The Mornin’ Smoothie
We decided to adapt one of the Ninja heart healthy recipes just a bit for our morning smoothie. By adding a few of our favorite ingredients (strawberries) it has become one of my favorite drinks. Additionally, we are able to freeze the leftovers from the 72 oz. serving capacity and make great tasting popsicles for the kids.
- 1 banana, peeled
- 1 orange, peeled
- 6 strawberries
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 scoop whey protein powder
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 6 ice cubes
- Place the top blades in the pitcher and add of the ingredients.
- Pulse the motor 5 times.
- Select Speed 3 on the dial and flip the switch to start. Gradually increase to Speed 6 until a smooth drink.
- Serve in Ninja 16 oz. single serve cup. Pour leftover drink in popsicle molds and freeze. (optional)
What is your favorite healthy smoothie recipe?
I asked a few of my blogger friends to share their recipes with me so I could pass them along.
