Summer is almost here and preparing the backyard is a must once the kids begin venturing outside. I have always been the “no trampoline” mom due to my questions about their safety but was recently contacted by Springfree Trampolines. Still reserved about the idea of a safe trampoline for kids, my husband and I took our 3 youngest kids to the new Springfree Experience Center in Plano, Texas recently. We were given a brief history of the development of the trampoline as well as a breakdown of how the Springfree Trampoline differs from a traditional trampoline.

Trampoline Without Springs

So, just as the name  Springfree™ Trampoline implies, this trampoline without springs utilizes flexible composite rods beneath the actual jumping surface. Plus, the frame is actually beneath the jumping surface as well to keep children from falling and hitting it. There is a SoftEdge mat around the trampoline that is 30 times more absorbent than other shock absorbent pads, and, finally, the FlexiNet enclosure uses flexible net rods to cushion jumpers and prevent falls from the jumping surface. By eliminating the higher impact areas of traditional trampolines, the Springfree Trampoline has been deemed the world’s safest trampoline.

Fun Way to Stay Fit

After letting the girls try out 3 different sizes of trampolines, my husband and I decided we could let them have a trampoline at home. As a parent, I really liked the safety concept behind the Springfree Trampoline. Not to mention, we have been looking for a fun way to stay fit as a family and the trampoline will be a great way to start. I have been looking over toning and sculpting trampoline workouts and am excited about the possibilities. By establishing a few initial rules at set up, we believe we can keep our jumping experience both safe and fun for all the kids.
