Considering the number of Ford trucks my dad has owned over my lifetime, as well as the F-150 Colby has sitting outside our home, and our relationship with Ford Motor Company… this is some pretty exciting news:

33 Millionth Ford F-Series Vehicle Delivered

And the extra cool part? It happened right here in Texas! And just a few cities over in Plano, Texas. Plus, it was to a man that is a longtime Ford customer.

In fact, Sam Loria, a native Texan, purchased his first Ford F-Series back in 1969 and his F-150 Platinum purchase today marks the twelfth Ford vehicle he has owned. That is awesome! And as he walked into Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford in Plano today he made history with the Ford Motor Company.

Nation’s Best-Selling Truck for 36 Years

With its legacy of delivering capable, efficient, safe and durable trucks, the Built Ford Tough F-Series has been the nation’s best-selling truck for 36 years. F-series sales are on the rise nationally, with May 2013 sales representing the strongest demand for Ford trucks since 2005.

With an F-series truck sold every 43 seconds this year, a line of each one of them would stretch from Los Angeles to Seattle. Or, even more impressive, they would stretch halfway to the moon! Woah! That is 299,277 units sold thus far in 2013. After all, it has been the best-selling truck for the past 31 years.

The 2013 Ford F-150 is also an IIHS Top Safety Pick and was recently chosen as the “Best Light-Duty Pickup Truck” by PickupTrucks.com and Popular Mechanics Magazine. Plus, the 2015 Ford F-150 is already in the works and looks like it is going to be one incredible truck to drive.
