3 Reasons Not to Be Afraid of Change

There is no doubt about it: change can be terrifying. Sometimes, before you make a big change, it might seem like whatever the change is, will cause your life to take a turn for the worse.

But, if you really think about it, there is always some good in every single situation and a change can bring so much good into your life.

If you chose to stay in your comfort zone for life and never welcome change, it would be pretty difficult to grow as an individual, professionally, or personally.

Change requires growth and learning, and I believe that change can push you to become the best person that you can be.

Sometimes, even if a change leads you to a difficult or stressful time, it can end up being something more beautiful than you could have imagined in the end.

Of course, you need to acknowledge your feelings, but don’t let them hold you back and terrify you completely.

3 Reasons Not to Be Afraid of Change

Change can be hard, but it can also be so rewarding and beneficial to your overall life. Something great can come out of it—I promise!

Choose to take risks and push past your fear, because change is just one thing that makes life so much more interesting.

There are so many reasons not to be afraid of change!

Here are just a few reasons that I could think of off the top of my head:

Change can bring awesome new experiences

You are the only thing that can hold you back and sometimes, fear causes you to lose sight of what good could come into your life.

Change can bring so many awesome, new experiences your way, BUT you have to get out of your own way and let it happen, to reap those benefits.

Change shifts our perspective

Routine allows us to go through life without thinking too much. We know things like the back of our hands. Change, even if it is just a small change, allows us to look at things with fresh eyes.

Think about when you are traveling. If you go to Italy, you will probably be in awe of the small things: the views, the food, and the people. And that is because they are all new and different. It’s not the same avocado toast that you make each morning.

This small change, of being in a new city, allows us to be present in the moment and it’s like we just opened our eyes for the first time—we can see again.

Do you feel this way on your daily commute to work, or when you are making breakfast? Probably not.

Change, no matter how small or big it is, can shift your perspective and bring so much good into your life.

Change allows us to be vulnerable

Being vulnerable is not really something that everyone wants. I mean, when is the last time that you woke up and said, “I think I’m going to choose to be vulnerable today.” Probably not…ever!

But, change allows us to remember that we don’t know it all. And that’s okay! It also teaches us that even when we don’t know it all, things still work out in the end.

Being vulnerable, although uncomfortable, does not mean that we are not okay and that we are not safe. It helps us learn—it pushes us past our fears, and it allows us to grow.

It also pushes us to ask for help, and then learn from those who help us. For example, moving to a new city is a huge change that can lead us to feel a bit vulnerable. New streets, new people, and new adventures.

Sometimes, this can be overwhelming (especially considering the fact that a move takes a ton of time and can cause a lot of stress), but if you use a few tips and tricks like hiring a moving team to help, you can reduce that stress a ton.

Companies such as Texans Movers can help you. They are labor movers Houston, who have been serving the state of Texas for over ten years now.

They are family-owned and operated and they are glad to take on any move—no matter how large or small. They service everything from houses, apartments, condos, and commercial projects, too.
