As a grandmother, I’m vitally aware of how important it is to walk alongside my daughter and her husband in raising their children. I’m here to offer advice and assistance, when needed. Fortunately, one big issue my daughter and I strongly agree on is education.
We’ve homeschooled our kids for over 18 years. We’ve tried a number of programs and found, especially with our youngest, that ABCmouse is one of the best!
Therefore, now that our granddaughter is two, and beginning to really soak up information, it’s the perfect time to get her started with ABCmouse. We can work alongside her on a PC, laptop, tablet or phone allowing each of us to encourage her learning.
What is ABCmouse?
ABCmouse is an expertly-designed, tailored learning approach that motivates children, ages 2-8, to learn through exploration and play.
With the option to follow a Step-by-Step Learning Path, children are guided through personalized Learning Activities where they can earn Tickets and Rewards as incentives to progressing.
As they advance through each level, their confidence grows and, according to studies, they show significant learning gains with just 45 minutes a week on ABCmouse.
All Family subscriptions include up to three children profiles.
Where to begin on ABCmouse
If you choose to have your child navigate the Step-by-Step Learning Path, you can begin with the ABCmouse Assessment Center. This helps in assessing your child’s knowledge, skills, and capabilities in each of the subject areas.
Combined with the Early Learning Academy, ABCmouse can then suggest Learning Activities tailored to your child’s specific needs.
How do I check my child’s progress?
ABCmouse makes this easy using their Progress Tracker. Parents can simply log into the Parent Page and see how their child is progressing through the curriculum. You can view how many Learning Activities they have completed, in which categories, and view their progress through each one.
If you ever feel the need to change your child’s Learning Path Level, you can easily do so on the Parent Page.
What are the Tickets & Rewards for?
One of our granddaughter’s favorite parts of ABCmouse is earning rewards as she progresses through the program. Upon completion of Learning Activities, tickets are rewarded that can then be exchanged for virtual items, such as a new fish or clothes for their avatar.
In addition to encouraging more learning, the Tickets & Rewards also teach additional numbers and math concepts. Not to mention, learning to earn and making decisions on how to spend their rewards helps them practice critical thinking skills.
As you can see, every aspect of ABCmouse has been thoroughly designed and created to give children a comprehensive learning platform. From the Step-by-Step Learning Path to the Tickets & Rewards, each step has a purpose in your child’s learning process.
