You might also notice the the weight I put on affirmations. Before we even thought about buying a new home, our (now 14 year old) daughter wanted it more than most.

When I found her crying in her room one day over the thought of never finding the perfect house, we sat down and wrote out an affirmation for her. She posted it on her shelf and repeated it daily.

As we packed her room three years ago to move into our new house, I made sure to remind her that it was her want, her passion, and her belief that helped make it happen.

Today, we all still have some list or other affirmation reminder in our rooms or bathroom. We firmly believe in changing our mindset through these little doses of positivity.
