A brookie is what you get when you combine each of the desserts I mentioned above:
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup + Chocolate Chip Cookies + Brownies =
Brookies
I mean, the best combination of chocolate and peanut butter since, well, a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
But, you get it, right?
Sometimes you just can’t decide which one to have, so this brookies recipe helps you combine all three into one.
These chocolate chip cookie brownies are easy to make and can be made from packaged mixes and dough to simplify it even more.
Ingredients:
- 1 box brownie mix, batter prepared according to the package directions
- 16-ounce refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 12 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped
Since we’re using Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies mix and frozen Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, this will go a bit quicker.
Of course, you can also make both recipes from scratch as well. The rest of the process will be pretty much the same.
How to make chocolate chip brookies?
As usual when baking, preheat the oven to 350°F. Then, spray a 12-cup muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Next, divide the chocolate chip cookie dough into 12 pieces and press a piece into the bottom of each muffin cup.
Place one Reese’s Peanut Butter cup upside down into each cookie dough-filled muffin cup and press down slightly.
Pour the prepared brownie batter over the peanut butter cups, just enough to cover the candy and to fill the muffin cup ¾ full.
NOTE
You may have leftover batter that you can bake in a small pan separately, but avoid over-filling the muffin cups.
Finally, it’s time to bake the chocolate chip cookie brownies. Bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
Serve warm with whipped cream on top, or try other toppings such as ice cream, caramel sauce, or hot fudge sauce and enjoy!
