Planning a Dream RV Vacation with Go RVing

It was recently said by psychologist Matt Killingsworth that, “We’re often happiest when we’re lost in the moment.” That we find our happiness in those “moment-to-moment experiences.” I have not only found this to be true in my own life… but in watching my children as well.

This feeds our desire to take our dream RV vacation with Go RVing .

Dream RV Vacation

When I was a child, we took three summer road trips from Texas to California and back around through Wyoming and Oklahoma. We would cover 10 states in 10 days.

It was a lot of ground to cover, but those are still some of the greatest memories of my childhood.

Our last trip was the year I graduated high school. Back then we would pull a Pop-Up Camping Trailer for our family of five, plus my grandparents.

This is the first trip I want to take with my kids in a RV. But it is only the beginning.

We recently got the kids excited about the idea by taking them to just take a look inside an RV. They were sold after the first one.

There were simply too many advantages to the RV that they could not disagree with the idea:

  • Bunk beds give them their personal space
  • On-board bathrooms offer convenience and sanitary conditions
  • Changes can easily be made based on current surroundings
  • Plenty of storage space for luggage and other things, such as bikes

As we began to plan the road trip, they became even more excited. Being able to see the pictures in their textbooks come to life as we travel across the states seems plausible once you map it out.

Each one of them wanted to add their own destination along the route.

It immediately became a family project and we started a dream board. We want it to be a fabulous trip full of ideas that we, as a family, came up with and that everyone will enjoy.

Therefore, allowing the entire family to be involved, we hope to make everyone happy.

After mapping out a possible route and taking ideas, we picked six of our favorite must-see landmarks along the way:

  1. Carlsbad Caverns National Park, NM
  2. Grand Canyon, AZ
  3. Lake Tahoe, CA
  4. Columbia River Highway, OR
  5. Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
  6. Chickasaw National Recreation Area, OK

Driving through National Parks we not only discover our country’s heritage, but we can also view stunning landscapes and observe extraordinary wildlife in their natural habitats.

There are more than 29,000 campsites in 440 campgrounds throughout the National Park System… so plenty of room to stay and explore.

Not to mention, the serenity of the outdoors is a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of today’s busy, modern world.

We can unplug and get to know nature, as well as discover more about our own family ties. And since family comes first around here, we are excited about the possibilities.
