Homemade Cookies and Cream Candy Bar Recipe

One particular evening when things were pretty stressful with our granddaughter, two of our kids made a run to the store. Upon their return, they brought me a HERSHEY’S Cookies ‘n’ Creme giant bar.

They handed it to me with the sincerest faces and said they thought I could use a chocolate bar knowing the anxiety I was feeling.

After I swallowed the lump in my throat, I thanked them and smiled at the sweet gesture from them both.

Then, I promptly HID my cookies and cream candy bar!

Y’all, I have a houseful of kids who can sniff out my secret candy stash. I’m sure other moms out there will understand.

Even if it’s not candy, there’s something to keep away from your kids, right?!

Anyways, I was so excited, but also wanted to make the cookies and cream candy bar last as long as I could.

So, I’d break off two squares each evening and then wrap the rest back up for later.

I even shared two squares with my husband. Well, he saw me open the packaging and asked, so I decided I would share my gift with him.

But, when it came down to those last two squares, I savored them as long as I could because I don’t typically indulge in many chocolate bars.

Let’s be honest. I rarely buy myself anything. I’m simply not that person. Which is probably one reason the kids wanted to buy it.

Man. I truly love these crazy kids of mine.
