Anthony Mackie is The Falcon

There are not many men that get me a little flustered. Honestly, just Colby.

But when we met Anthony Mackie recently, he sure showed me different. One quick hug and I was smitten with this guy.

He was hilarious, down-to-earth, and great to talk to.

Anthony Mackie said it plain and clear when he told us, “I want to be a superhero.”

He also knew that he wanted Clint Eastwood in the film alongside him. How crazy awesome is that?

Not to mention, he said something that I really thought was great,

When I got this call, I kinda put things in perspective. I feel like a lot of people are famous for different reasons. Some people are famous because they’re handsome. Some people are famous because they’re British. I’m very happy that I’m famous because I can act. And I feel like this is a job I got because I deserved it.

He is optimistic, energetic, and positive. All great attributes to have. And as a bonus, he is hilariously funny.

He describes himself and Chris Evans as “35 year old men in costume.”

I think one of my absolute favorite stories he told was about his first day on set… so I will let him tell it here:

There’s nothing natural about flying… to humans. Like, there’s nothing we do that’s like flying. So my first day on set I walk in, I’m like, ‘What’s up, yo. Falcon in the building, what’s up?’ Right.

I get up on like a 60 foot platform and I’m like, all right, let’s do this. Then they said, ‘All right, stand on the edge of the platform, there’s a jet coming at you. We want you to stand up, turn around, shoot your guns and jump back backwards head first, into this mat.’ From 60 feet in the air.
I’m like, ‘Ohhhhhhh! Whoa!’

The first day is usually like walking down a hallway, or like eating or something. You know, just to break you in. Not jumping off the platform to your death.

And that is The Falcon!

He wants to help Captain America and Black Widow because he knows he has something to offer. Flight.

He quickly became my newest favorite superhero… right after Captain America, of course.
