Happily Ever Avery // Prepping for Round 3
Avery will go back next week for a Bone Marrow Biopsy and Lumbar Puncture. If she makes counts, she’ll be admitted to start Round 3.
Our granddaughter was diagnosed with Pre B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 7 weeks. Follow her journey as we, her family, choose to stay positive as we continue to believe in our Happily Ever Avery.
Avery will go back next week for a Bone Marrow Biopsy and Lumbar Puncture. If she makes counts, she’ll be admitted to start Round 3.
Our lucky charm made counts today! That means she will be staying at the hospital overnight and will get her last dose of chemo for this round of therapy.
Avery’s ANC disqualified her for chemo again this week. She received an Immunoglobulin Replacement Therapy that helps boost your antibody levels when they are low to help you fight infection.
Avery’s ANC rebounded this week, so she’ll start oral chemo meds and her daily shots again tonight at home. She’s back on track with chemo.
Avery had her regular clinic day today, plus a scheduled LP. But, she didn’t qualify for treatment again due to her low ANC.
Due to the second round of snow and ice coming our way this evening, Avery had her clinic day today instead of tomorrow.
