People are always saying that the key to happiness is getting more of what you want and less of what you don’t want. And it’s true, for the most part.

A lot of people are too scared to try anything new or do anything that might be a bit risky. If you want to become a better version of yourself, though, you need to get out of your comfort zone.

If there is something that you’ve always wanted to do or something that you feel would bring more excitement and adventure into your life, try it out!

Maybe skydiving isn’t your thing—but how about trying rock climbing? Or even just taking a different route home now and then.

The opportunities are endless when you get out of your comfort zone. You never know what kind of experience might lead to other new experiences. 

  1. Find ways to exercise regularly

If you want to become a better version of yourself, one thing that you absolutely must do is find ways to incorporate exercise into your daily life.

It can be anything from taking walks or doing some yoga in the morning before work, to going out with friends for a jog or attending an aerobics class after work. Every bit counts—just get your body moving! 

As much as it’s tempting to find a liposuction surgeon and go down that route, exercise is more than just your weight, your body, and how you look. It’s about how you feel in yourself and getting more energy and vitality in your life. This is why choosing to move is important.

Even if it’s just jogging on the treadmill while watching TV at home, every bit of cardiovascular activity helps. Exercise does more than just help us lose weight and give us stronger muscles—it also makes our entire bodies function better.

And when our entire bodies are functioning better, it means that everything else in our lives is easier as well.

  1. Stop worrying about the little things

When we worry too much, it can be hard to become a better version of ourselves. We let the little things bother us too much, instead of focusing on all the other great things that are going on in our lives!

If you want to become a better version of yourself, you need to stop worrying. This is easier said than done—but there are certainly some ways that can make it easier for you. 

For example, keeping a worry journal helps because it gets your worries out of your head and onto paper—then you can see how big or small they really are. You’ll probably find that many of them aren’t as bad as you thought that they were!

Just taking ten minutes each day to collect all of your worries and sit down with them will help tremendously.

  1. Stop focusing on yourself all the time

Sometimes we get so caught up in our own lives that we forget that there are other people around us who need our help. When you want to become a better version of yourself, one thing that you should try is to focus more on the people around you.

Volunteering is a great way to do this—because it forces you to leave your comfort zone and really engage with the world outside yourself. 

If you aren’t able to volunteer in person, why not start up an online campaign? There are so many ways that we can reach out and help others nowadays thanks to the internet!

The possibilities are endless. Try picking an issue or two that really matters to you-then see if there’s anything that you can do about it!
