“You’ve got to think about big things while you’re doing small things, so that all the small things go in the right direction.”
— Alvin Toffler
Hey! Still here!
As a reminder, we’re in Texas where people (most we know) are tired of being inconvenienced by the virus. They’re back to doing their own thing.
Some days it feels as though we’ll never resume a normal life.
But we keep living as normal as we can — from home.
I can’t complain too much about my quaranteam though. They’re pretty fun to hang out with!
Time doesn’t stop while we’re staying safe at home though.
This one will be a big sister in just a few months! So, we’re doing what we can to get her prepared for new role.
I think she’s doing quite well in her big-sister training.
Colby and I were back at work on our travel trailer this week.
We’re down to the final details, really. Trim work and finishing up odds and ends.
The last big project is the coffee bar and we finished it!
Colby also got the bathroom plumbing hooked up and we’ve started looking at the exterior.
Not to mention, we’ve begun ordering some of the supplies that will go inside. Bedding, utensils, dinnerware, things of that nature.
Plus, we’ve been busy ordering inventory for our new trailers that we manage through Renting Your RV.
We’re definitely doing our part to keep the USPS, UPS, and FedEx in business.
Speaking our our RV rental management business, we do several pick-up and deliveries to Oklahoma since we’re just a short drive up the road.
This week, while waiting for a renter to show up, and after finishing our set-up, we even got to play around near the lake for a bit.
We took a short walk around and found this fun swing over Lake Murray that Colby at least posed for. We weren’t sure how sturdy it or the tree was, and he had to go meet the customer.
Maybe we can try it out on our next trip up.
Poor guy really needs a break anyways!
August is my least favorite month of the year now, so, to keep my anxiety at bay, I keep he and I both busy with projects.
The trailer is one, but we’ve also started a few more.
I’ll show you them in the coming weeks.
One last thing we did this week was pack our adult kids. Their house was under contract after only 7 days on the market!
And, as sad as I am that they’ll be more than two streets away now, I’m glad they no longer have the stress of selling their home. They have a baby coming soon and really need some simplicity right now.
Let’s hope some of that alleviated stress flows my way soon.
