Tips for Beauty Blunders

Simple Tricks and Tips for Beauty Blunders

Problem: Frizzy Hair
Solution: Dryer sheets. Yep. Rub a dryer sheet over your hair to reduce static cling resulting from humidity. Brush with a wide-toothed comb and be frizz-free.

Problem: Out of Control Eyelashes
Solution: Spray an old toothbrush with hairspray and brush up and out to tame your wild brows.

Problem: Clumpy Eyelashes
Solution: Using a baby wipe, pull lashes all the way through your forefinger and thumb to remove excess mascara. Add a small amount of Vaseline to both separate and darken the lashes.

Problem: Smudged Eyeliner
Solution: Apply powder in a similar color over the pencil line to reduce smudging.

Problem: Oily Hair
Solution: Sprinkle baby powder onto oily hair to absorb the oil and leave it smelling fresh. A bristle brush will help alleviate any leftover powder.

Problem: Deodorant Mishap
Solution: Use a dryer sheet to rub excess deodorant from under arms. Take the garment and rub the soiled fabric together with another area until deodorant is thoroughly rubbed out. After applying deodorant it may also be wise to pat the area with a towel to properly dry before getting dressed.

Problem: Too Much Perfume
Solution: Remove some of the fragrance using a baby wipe. A rubbing alcohol soaked cotton ball will also help neutralize the over zealous perfume scent if necessary.

Problem: Swollen Pimple
Solution: An ice cube wrapped in a paper towel can be used to apply pressure to a pimple to reduce swelling. Make sure to apply an antibiotic to avoid infection and more swelling. A little concealer dabbed on the pimple afterwards should help hide it for the time being.
