I remember being in the Girl Scouts as a child. My mom was the “cookie mom” and I sold like crazy so I could earn my way to Girl Scout camp. We had cookies from ceiling-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall in our house! No joke! I was so excited about going to camp too… until I got there. It was the most miserable time of my life. It was while there that I realized just how much I loved my family. I just wanted to go home. I am sure I had some bit of fun… but most I remember crying every night and counting down the days until I was home.

Anyways… enough about my childhood silliness. Everyone knows when Girl Scout Cookie sales begin. You most likely know someone with a daughter selling them. Maybe they come knock on your door or are stationed outside your favorite store. Girl Scout Cookies are a national icon to some. Our favorites are Samoas and Thin Mints. Oh the Thin Mints! We cannot open a box unless we are ready for them to be gone within the hour. No doubt. And frozen? They don’t stand a chance!

Therefore, knowing these delicious morsels of goodness are only available for a short time each year, I believe it is important to have a back up plan! And THAT, my fellow reader and friend, is what inspired this post. Enjoy!
