Keep Cool with OREO Ice Cream Treats

How often do you get out on an ice cream date with your significant other? Colby and I do not always get to sneak away for ice cream treats without the kids. But, with the summer heating up here in Texas, it sounded like the perfect way to keep cool on our last date.
OREO Ice Cream Treats
Colby, being the more adventurous one when it comes to taste testing, noticed a new ice cream flavor in the freezer: OREO® Birthday Cake ice cream. This creamy concoction features chocolate cake flavored ice cream, Birthday Cake OREO cookie pieces, frosting bits, and a candy confetti ribbon all swirled together for a party in a scoop! Needless to say, Colby very much enjoyed it — and even shared his scoop with me!
Yet, as we often do when we are out alone, we thought of the kids. This is when the OREO Polar Pizza called to us from the freezer where we stopped for ice cream. The OREO Cookies ‘N Cream Polar Pizza looked incredible and we knew the girls would love it. The double fudge brownie crust was layered with Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream Ice Cream, then topped with crushed Oreo Cookies pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge topping.
The girl behind the counter told us the OREO Polar Pizza was her mom’s favorite treat and offered up some wax paper so we could try a piece before taking it home. One bite and I could easily taste why her mom loved it. Each flavor was sweet and perfect as it combined into one delicious treat upon biting into it. Fortunately, there was plenty to take home to the kids and they were ever so grateful for it!
Sometimes Colby and I find that these little moments away make for the best adventures. After all, the rest of our summer has been filled with one trip after another. The girls even enjoy the bit of time they get to just sit at home for a minute!
