Did you know that Ford sells an F-Series truck every 42 seconds? Not to mention, the King Ranch is THE truck of Texas. Need the numbers to back that up? 40% of King Ranch Super Duty trucks are sold in Texas. While 16% of Texas Super Duty sales are the King Ranch. And there is a new generation of Ford trucks that have been unveiled for 2015.

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty King Ranch

How about this little piece of trivia: there is actually an 825,000 sq. ft. working ranch in Texas (the size of Rhode Island) called King Ranch. The design team traveled to the ranch for “fresh perspective and inspiration” as they began to work on the F-Series truck.

“What really stood out is how prominent the ‘Running W’ is, and how it defines and unifies the ranch,”said Barb Whalen, Ford color and material design manager. “Similarly, we wanted that brand to define the new Super Duty King Ranch.”

Therefore, inside the new Super Duty King Ranch you will find the Running W brand as a focal point on the seat backs and center console. The cut out design makes it appear branded and gives the truck a bit of that rustic character associated with the ranch.

Plus, other updated features include:

  • lighter, richer shade of Mesa leather trims the seats, center console lid, armrests and steering wheel
  • new, darker Caribou paint for the wheel lip moldings, bumpers and lower body
  • bed rail caps, bumper caps and running boards are executed in black
  • Running W branded logo brings focus to the wheel caps
