Mini Vacation with My Mini Me at Hilton Sandestin

Disclosure: We are receiving a stay at the Hilton Sandestin plus a small travel stipend for the sole purpose of the impending review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Mini Vacation

Are you due for a mini vacation? I have been doing some traveling in the past couple of weeks but it was no vacation. All are work based. So I am looking forward to this Sunday. Even though I am taking a fam trip with a group of 7 other fabulous bloggers, sitting on the beach at the Hilton Sandestin and getting manicures is hardly work, right? Plus, the coolest part is that I get to bring along one of my kiddos. Now, telling the other 3 (the toddler has no idea what’s going on) that they were not going was not fun. The teens dealt with it but Princess, my 7 yr old, cried a bit. I had to promise her a few things when I return. At least we made it work though.

This will be my first press trip with one of my kids. And even more crazy, the first time to fly with anyone I know. PLUS… it will be my daughter’s first time to fly. So all kinds of fun things coming. And I really have Dear Crissy to thank. She invited me to come along on the trip to represent her blog. (To say I was honored to have been asked would be an understatement. I very much admire Crissy and her amazing work). So watch for the full breakdown to appear over on her blog once we  return!

We will be staying in the Jr. Deluxe Suites in the Emerald Tower at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The suite features elegant furnishings and amenities as well as a private balcony overlooking Florida’s Emerald Coast. Each suite is designed with bunk beds tucked away in a private alcove for children, including a state-of-the-art media center.  Needless to say, JJ, my daughter, is beside herself with excitement and has been packed for days.

While there JJ and I will get to partake in a photo scavenger hunt, sandcastle building contest (which she says we will lose), and on the pool deck at Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill. And all of that is just during the first day! There are many fun activities included in our stay that will have us going from morning to night… but we are excited. I think Jj is most excited about honing her spy skills in Hilton’s very own Secret Agent training camp.

I cannot wait to get there and then come back to tell you all about it!
