This past week, we decided to visit our local Main Event to celebrate family birthdays and our anniversary!
My birthday was at the end of August, we have 3 more birthdays this month… plus mine and Colby’s anniversary. Therefore, we gathered the kids one afternoon and went to Main Event. Even with scattered ages (7 to adult), we all had a fabulous time! There was plenty to do for all of us.
We started off with our own mini-bowling competition. I never know how fair it is with the use of bumpers for the girls, but I do like how it bumps my score as well. And a little family-friendly competition is always good for us. The kids had a great time and Colby and I loved watching everyone laughing on the bowling lanes. Main Event’s state-of-the-art bowling lanes make it entertaining and easy!
Of course, we can’t celebrate without food. The older kids all wanted pizza and there were plenty of choices to choose from. Joeli went with her own order of sliders with french fries and fruit off the kids’ menu, while I shared an order of nachos with Colby. Unlimited refills on our sodas meant that we could eat and drink throughout our bowling game.
Finally, the kids could spend all day playing the arcade games! To Colby and I, it’s nostalgic as we celebrate our 22nd anniversary… but to them it’s a nice break from playing a game on their phone or game system. Main Event has over 100 virtual and interactive games for players of all ages and skill levels.
We even played a couple (competitive) games of Laser tag. For $5 per person for unlimited play, it was really too good to pass up — and a great workout!
