Through our partnership with Best Buy, we have been able to introduce our girls to coding with the Ozobot 2.0 Bit starter pack.

First, let’s define STEM so that we’re all on the same page. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and STEM products encourage kids to develop core skills in these areas.

At Best Buy, you can find products from basic learning games to advanced toys designed specifically to stimulate a child’s mind in the STEM areas, helping to develop both logic and problem-solving skills. 

Ozobot Bit is simply one example of those products that can help your children learn to code.

Ozobot Bit is unique in that the initial learning is understanding that colors can dictate action, which leads to cause/effect building blocks for future programming.

Using markers and paper, children draw colorful designs to begin the learning process.

Bit’s optical sensors then read the lines and OzoCodes (short color code sequences) as movement commands.

These code commands are given by the child in the form of basic color combinations.

Through the OzoCodes drawn and the use of the OzoBlocky web editor, kids can easily program OzoBot and learn block-based programming principles.
