I have been taking summer road trips since I was a kid. Every summer, my family and I would pile into the car and set out for an adventure. We would take an in-state trip one year and then a 10-day, 10-state trip the next. Some of my fondest memories are of that time. Plus, we love to pull out pictures and, yes, even old video tapes to remind us of the fun we had. Today, I insist we take road trips often as a family. And we try to capture as many moments as possible.

A few weeks ago, 6 of us loaded up in a Lincoln Navigator and set our sites on New York City. The first thing I packed to go was the Panasonic Lumix G7. PLUS, yes there’s more, you can easily choose exact moments of video taken at up to 30 breathtaking frames-per-second, and extract it as an 8-megapixel still image. Straight from the camera! You simply play the video, pick a frame, and save the image. And they look just as amazing as capturing the shot on its own.
Even when the kids are moving all over the place as they take in the scenery, the exclusive DFD Focusing is made for fast and precise auto focusing that tracks your subject. There is no reason to slow them down as they enjoy the moment. Take a bit of video and extract the images.
Additionally, using the Panasonic Image app, you can set your phone up to act as a remote for the camera and jump in more pictures yourself! After all, you want to make sure the kids remember that you were there too!
We ventured through Nashville, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York City… and even Niagara Falls.
In each city, we stopped and explored what we could, capturing as much as we could. It was truly an incredible trip that brought the kids closer together and allowed them to check many cities off their own bucket lists. Showing them the history of the country was on my list of things to do as well, so we checked a few things off on this particular road trip!
And we can look back at all of the photos we took with the Panasonic Lumix G7 over the 10 days and smile as we recall the time we had.
