Disclosure: Thank you Culver’s for sponsoring this post.
Holidays are the best time for family gatherings, but the busyness of the season can wear on you. A meal that doesn’t require anything more than walking into Culver’s is just what everyone needs!
Family Meal Break at Culver’s
Fortunately, our Culver’s is near many of our favorite stores. And, just as we do pretty much everything, we start our holiday shopping as a family. All nine of us.
I know what you’re thinking, how do we shop for each other while we’re all together? We divide and conquer!
Everyone sends their wish list via our family group text thread, we (privately) discuss which items from the list we’re each buying, and then it’s time to shop.
We split up into at least three groups, and each group can then buy for the family members in the other two groups. Easy! And, there’s no pressure to get all the shopping done at once, but it does help motivate us to get started on our lists.
After an hour or two of shuffling through stores, we’re more than ready to sit down for a tasty meal. This is where Culver’s saves the day!
For starters, when we walk into the dining area, there’s actually room for all nine of us to sit together at one table. I can’t tell you how important that is to us, and how challenging it can often be when we eat out.
Fun family fact: Being able to enjoy a good meal, in a family-friendly environment, is often one of our biggest deciding factors when choosing a restaurant.
Second, from their Hearty Soups to budget-friendly Value Baskets and their Concrete Mixers made with Fresh Frozen Custard, there are so many menu options! Not the least of which includes their famed Wisconsin Cheese Curds.
Again, with a large family, it helps to have something for everyone. You can only imagine the time and effort it can take to pick a place we all agree on.
Last but not least, Culver’s is a great place to step inside, enjoy each other’s company over a warm meal, and simply take a break from the holiday chaos.
To put it another way, it helps center us and bring everything back around to our real focus of the season: family.
We talk, laugh, and reminisce over past holidays and plan for future ones. We know that not only are times evolving, but our family is as well.
Not to mention, you can even grab some Culver’s gift cards while you’re there and mark a few more people off your shopping list. In fact, when you purchase $30 in gift cards by December 29, you will receive a coupon for a free Value Basket.
Basically, you can grab a gift for someone else and pocket one for yourself as well. Or give it away if that better suits your gift-giving needs. Either way, it’s a win-win!
In our case, it’s a great way to spread the love of a good meal around and ensure we can all find ourselves back around the Culver’s table even after the holidays are done.
