Are you a fan of steak? Live in the Dallas area? If you answered yes to both I have the perfect place for you. Estilo Gaúcho is a new authentic Brazilian dining experience. In fact, as one of the owners described it to my son and I, it is your “Special Occasion Destination in Frisco.” Actually, whether you are celebrating or not, this is the place to be.
Imagine walking into a beautifully decorated restaurant and being greeted with a delightful smile. Upon seating, your chair is eloquently pulled out for you, and just as smoothly pushed back in. After ordering drinks, you are free to head to the salad bar which features over 40 varieties of freshly made sides and vegetables. Sides that include a Black Bean Soup, salad, mushrooms and more. Once back at the table, you may even want to view the wine list with over 1,300 wines to choose from.
15 Gourmet Cuts of Meat
But it doesn’t stop there! With a simple flip of the red and green card on your table, you are then met with an array of great tasting meats. Each one is brought out on a metal skewer and you can choose to have a piece or pass on it. My son and I did not pass on many of the 15 gourmet cuts of meat we were presented with. In fact, I think that we tried almost all 15 between the two of us. And a few we even tried more than once.
The Spicy Picanha was one of those. It quickly became our favorite after just one bite. It was incredibly juicy and had just the right amount of spice added to it. Of course, I am a fan of spicy foods, so it was not that bad to me. My son also loved the flavoring and we each had 3 pieces of this savory, spicy steak. It was THAT good!
We also discovered that the mashed potatoes and fried bananas on our table were to serve as palette cleansers between the meats. We had no idea but found it to be quite true. One bite of either and our mouths were ready for the next delicious serving of meat to be served. Each meat could be tasted independent of the one before and was just as tasty as the first bite we took.
OHHHH! Dessert was incredible. I ordered the Pineapple Dessert but we also received two extra dishes. One of Estilo Gaúcho’s signature desserts is a homemade Papaya Cream served with a Raspberry liqueur. Therefore, that delicious dessert made its’ way to our table, along with my Pineapple served with homemade Vanilla Bean ice cream and a Creme Brulée.
My dessert was filled with flavor and together we finished off every bite in no time. The Papaya Cream was creamy and light with a splash of raspberry flavoring. Also very tasty. But the Creme Brulée? This was the best I have ever tasted and my son finished it off without much recourse… and enjoyed every minute of it. I was grateful I was able to get a few bites before he managed to eat it all.
Estilo Gaúcho’s history spans over three centuries, with humble beginnings in the fertile Pampas region of Southern Brazil. As European immigrants settled the land and growing families matured into blossoming communities, a very proud and time honored heritage was forged. Gaúchos, Southern Brazilian cowboys, created Churrasco style cooking, the open-fire roasting of meats, an integral part and most social component within the Gaúcho tradition.
