What? It’s 5:00pm? You’re on your way home? That is pretty much my everyday conversation with my husband when he tells me he is leaving work. That also means I need to get dinner started so we can eat soon after his arrival.

But finding easy dinner solutions is not always easy. Time-savers such as  new Mazola® Sobrecitos® bouillon packets help in prepping those last-minute dishes.

The Mazola Sobrecitos bouillon packets are made from all natural sea salt. We eat very little salt due to a family history of heart disease. Therefore, I personally feel better about seasoning my dishes with bouillon with an all natural sea salt.

Why? Because it is less processed than table salt. Plus, the bouillon packets make adding flavor to recipes simple since the bouillon dissolves instantly compared to traditional cubes.

Mazola Chicken

Another favorite of our family? Chicken. We can rarely go wrong when serving chicken. It is the one meat/poultry the family can agree on. And I enjoy cooking with a slow cooker because it reduces the insanity that occurs at our home at 5:00pm when we know my husband is on the way home.

I can start a slow cooker meal at lunch, turn it on, and by dinner the house smells amazing. So, we decided to try the new Mazola Sobrecitos bouillon packets in the slow cooker and enjoyed a delicious Chipotle Chicken on white rice meal together.

Chipotle Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 1  onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 2 individual chipotle chile peppers, canned in adobo sauce
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 packet Mazola® Chicken Flavor Bouillon Powder
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • Pepper to taste (optional)


  1. Cut chicken breasts into 2 to 3 oz portions and add directly to slow cooker.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onions until tender and browning.

  3. Reduce heat and cook for 1 minute after adding garlic.
  4. Pour onion mixture into blender and add chipotle  peppers, water and bouillon packet. Puree mixture until smooth.

  5. Pour over chicken in slow cooker and cover.
  6. Cook for 2-3 hours on high until chicken is tender.
  7. Whisk cream cheese until smooth. Stir into chicken mixture. Season with pepper is desired. Continue cooking for another 15-20 minutes on low.
