There is something to be said about the season of giving thanks.

I am a firm believer in the fact that we should give thanks first… before we start accepting holiday gifts.

That’s why we make sure to celebrate Thanksgiving before we break out the Christmas decorations.

Festive Fall Decor

On the hunt for the perfect festive fall decor, we went to our local Pier 1 Imports. With the new house, it’s been no secret through my social shares that the front entry is my favorite to decorate.

After all, it is where we create the first impression upon entering and I want our guests to feel welcome and joyful—no matter the season.

But, with the Fall Festival decor at Pier 1 Imports, we could not only make our guests feel welcome but comfortable as well.

From the moment they reach our front door adorned with an oak leaf wreath, they are greeted with the colors of fall.

Pumpkin Patch table runner

Opening the door to step inside, the colors continue to flow through the front entry.

Using a Pumpkin Patch table runner adorned with beaded gourds, we added just the right amount of bold ornamentation to our otherwise subtle couch.

Yes, a simple table runner. It lays elegantly across the corner of the couch and creates a comfortable place to sit and chat for a while.

Pier 1 Imports - fall festival pillow

Across the way, a fall festival pillow decorated with vibrant fall leaves and berries fits perfectly into the corner chair.

With just the right amount of ornamentation, it brings out the pop of colors representing the season without being overbearing against the rest of the decor.

Wagon serving board centerpiece

Using a Homestead Harvest plaid napkin, we tied both the chair and couch together.

Pier 1 Imports had the cutest Wagon Serving Board that we chose to use to display a few more fall accessories on the coffee table.

The plaid napkin quilted the wagon for a Thanksgiving-themed plate and a small faux pumpkin to help bring all of the elements of the room together.

Preserved Wheat Bundles

Finally, as a finishing touch, we paired a couple of Preserved Wheat Bundles with cream-colored pumpkins to adorn the front window and bring the entire entry full circle.

By using elements from the same Fall collection, it was easy to piece together a cohesive look throughout the entryway. From the door to the furniture and onto the window ledge, everything fits together.

Not to mention, I feel like I’m ready to nestle in for the fall and hibernate inside surrounded by the pieces of crafted wood, fall oak leaves, realistic pumpkins, and touches of wheat throughout.
