One of the few pitfalls of having a large family is feeding everyone. Not so much the fact that everyone needs to be fed, more so finding something that everyone wants to eat. Even the cooking isn’t a huge hassle, but it’s definitely nice to take a night off every once in a while. And, this week being Spring Break, there’s no night classes or group project meetings keeping the “big kids” at school, plus we have an extra child. So, nine people with different palettes to feed. Nine.
Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen
Therefore, we were thrilled to be invited to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen for dinner last night. Being able to look at a menu filled with a wide variety of dishes that appeals to any guests’ culinary preferences–including steak, chicken, fish, salads and more–is just the break we needed this week. Not to mention, you can find over 20 entrees under $10 on the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen menu, making it a more affordable dine out option for large families. And these entrees include include customers favorites such as the 6 oz. Top Sirloin Steak, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie and Lemon Pepper Chicken. Our son-in-law had the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie while I enjoyed the Lemon Pepper Chicken. Of course, we didn’t skip dessert either!
The table favorite though? The new Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop. It features a 10 oz, center-cut, bone-in pork chop on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with bourbon glaze and homemade onion rings. Not only was the pork chop itself cooked to the perfect texture, but the bourbon glaze was both sweet and tangy. After we finished the pork chop, we still couldn’t get enough of the mashed potatoes soaked in the bourbon glaze. It’s definitely worth a try on your next visit to Cheddar’s.
