Creating Bold Salad Dressings with Carbonell

I am a big fan of oil-based salad dressings rather than the creamy ones often found at restaurants. They are better for you, and to me, taste so much better. Knowing this, my amazing husband decided to come up with 3 new flavors for me to enjoy. Well, perhaps not new flavors, but homemade dressings. By him. And they are delicious!

Bold Salad Dressings

All three of the bold salad dressings are easy to make using Carbonell. You simply take the list of ingredients and blend together. No extra steps really. And each one creates a different zany taste and perfect for salads, marinades, or whatever you can think of. For each of the vinaigrette dressings below, we used Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It’s rich taste and smooth flavor were just the pop of flavor each one needed.

Raspberry Vinaigrette

This one is perhaps my favorite. The sweet mixed with the bold works well for my picky palate and is amazing when paired together.


  • ¼ cup Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ cup white wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Chill, if desired or it is ready to serve.

Zesty Italian

The simple fact that it has “zesty” in the title is enough to make me want to use this dressing on everything.


  • ¼ cup Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • ¼ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • ½ tsp basil
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Pour all the ingredients into a jar and simply shake until well mixed. Chill, if desired or it is ready to serve.

Zesty Italian

Balsamic Vinaigrette

My go-to dressing when I need something to add a bit of “taste.”


  • ½ cup Carbonell Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • ¼ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  •  Salt, pepper and basil, to taste

Once more, mix all the ingredients in a blender. Chill, if desired or it is ready to serve.

There you have it. Three super easy, quick bold salad dressings to add to your next meal.
