If you are on Facebook, you probably know what it’s like on your birthday. Your notifications blow up all day with people posting on your wall. Even people that never say a thing to you all year make sure to stop by and at least say, “HBD!”
#BirthdayFail into a Win
Hallmark, the largest manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States, believes posts and texts are fine, but that your closest relationships deserve something even more awesome. But, you can easily turn a #birthdayfail into a win with a Hallmark card, as well as leave a lasting impression. In fact, Jase and Si Robertson agree. To help encourage people to avoid a #birthdayfail in the future, the two have teamed up with Hallmark to create a fun series of YouTube videos. The videos, featuring interesting acronyms to exquisite card-writing skills, are meant to help remind people that avoiding a #birthdayfail is simple. As Uncle Si would say, “Get a card, Jack!”
Personally, I know that I spend several minutes in Hallmark trying to find the perfect card. Colby has always shook his head at me when I walked into the card store. He knows. I am going to take a minute or two… or twenty. I want to read them all and find the one that ideally fits the recipient. Even more important, Colby knows how much I appreciate cards. More than flowers or gifts, I love to get cards. Words speak volumes and Hallmark does it right!
“Never forget to remember the card.”
