It’s that time of year again. Time to plan for the kids to head back to school soon. One of my girls favorite parts about heading back to school is the clothes shopping. Of course, right?! They enjoy getting new clothes and refreshing their “last season” wardrobe whenever they can. Fortunately, Sears offers ways to save both time and money while back to school clothes shopping!
Back to School Clothes Shopping
For us, our tweens are the most pickiest and most in tune with what they believe to be trendy. And, for the most part, they have the ability to have their own style. Each one being completely the opposite of the other, of course! These clothes shopping tips help us save time, money… and our sanity when it comes to going back to school:
Take Inventory
This part stresses me a bit. I am a practical shopper and like to know exactly what everyone needs. Luckily, Sears offers clothes, accessories, shoes and more all in one spot to make it even easier on us. We take note of who needs new jeans, what style of shoes are necessary, and how many shirts or blouses we should look for. It also helps us maintain a healthy amount of clothes in their closets.
Shop Online
Anytime I can jump online and shop from my house, I do it. It simplifies everything for us. I can call one child in at a time. Browse the selections we find at Sears.com/BacktoSchool and add items to the cart. Then we call in the next child. For one daughter, she wanted the Canyon River Blues Girl’s Scooter Skirt and her sister decided on the Canyon River Blues Girl’s #Selfie Raglan Top. Each one was excited about the idea of showing off their own, unique style with the clothes we found online.
We were able to choose “Free Store Pick-up” from Sears and have the items shipped directly to our local store. Then, using the Shop Your Way mobile app, we simply had to pull up and the items were delivered straight to our car in under 5 minutes with the free In Vehicle Pick-Up service. All at no extra cost. It really doesn’t get easier when shopping with (my) tween girls. And don’t forget, you can earn SYW Points with automatic redemption, in store or online for future purchases!
Compromise
Remember when you were younger? Kids have their own sense of style. Be willing to compromise as they find who they are and what they feel most comfortable in. We let them pick out their clothes as long as they are modest and age-appropriate. Plus, due to practicality, each item they choose needs to serve a real purpose. Do they need it? Where/when will they wear it? If we can compromise on these questions, they have a better chance at me purchasing it.
Back to school clothes shopping doesn’t have to be a chore. In fact, it can be enjoyable and easy even with Sears.com/BacktoSchool. Back to school shopping can be stressful – whether shopping online or driving from store to store – but Sears takes the stress out of back to school shopping with integrated retail services like Free Store Pick-up and In-Vehicle Pick-Up – members can always shop from home, buy online and pick up their purchases at their local Sears or Kmart.
