As crazy as it sounds, I am grateful for the trials and tribulations I suffer. I understand that each struggle is making me stronger and growing my faith. I am able to draw closer to God and further from myself. No longer can I continue to rely on me, but I am forced to turn to Him that makes everything possible.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. ~James 1:2-3
I am who I am today because of the life experiences that have led me to this point. Whether good or bad, each event in my past has somehow led to today and molded me into the person behind these words. For that… I am grateful. I may be far from perfection but I am a continuous work-in-progress and appreciate that. I enjoy learning and growing daily. I like knowing that He is not finished with me yet and there is still so much to explore. Life is so short and our demands are so big. I am ready to get out there and handle whatever may come because I know that God has me by the hand. That gives me the peace to be grateful for my trials.
Have you thought about what you are grateful for? Have you taken the challenge to post somewhere what you are thankful for each day? I would love to read your thoughts. Leave them in a comment below or post your link!
