Everyone has their own beliefs and I choose to believe in a God that loves me for who I am. He saved me from a shattered life and brought me back to life. Time after time He continues to rescue me and never lets me walk alone. Through the separation SuperDad and I endured, 2 miscarriages, my mom’s battle with cancer, JJ’s journey with anorexia… no matter what the trial… He was there to walk with me.

But, God is not only my Savior in the bad times, he is also my friend in the good ones. I always try to remember to give Him the glory and praise in every situation. When SuperDad landed his work-at-home job a few weeks ago, I continued to sing praises and thank God every night for over a week.

No one ever said the Christian life would be an easy one, and we are, in fact, told through His Word to expect adversity along the way. We know that we should not be surprised when we suffer trials and tribulations for declaring His name. Alas, I am still thankful to know that I am loved… just for being the best “me” I can be. He doesn’t ask for perfection. I am grateful that He doesn’t because I know I am far from it.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us,  set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. ~2 Corinthians 1:21-22
