Imagine a vehicle fun enough for hamsters to enjoy. You know the one. The Kia Soul was introduced 4 years ago and has been growing in popularity ever since. The hamster marketing campaign and fresh design keep the Soul trekking towards the top of its market.

The 2014 Kia Soul is completely redesigned and totally transformed. The designers have kept the car’s overall design, but the Soul looks rounder and more smooth. A new sportier look and upgraded interior give it a new feel. We found that is was more fun to drive and solid on the road.

The exterior saw some changes in 2014 that begin with the new body made from high-strength steels. This makes the new Soul 29% more rigid than the previous year. Plus, continuing with the music theme of the car, there is sound-deadening foam injected into the body’s pillars, and extra materials in the underbody to help alleviate road noise. That means more in-tuned music amped through the Infinity® Audio System. And can I mention the record option on the SiriusXM? Loved this!

The Hamsters have definitely helped set the mood for driving in the Kia Soul. Inside the vehicle, you will find four speakers pumping out tunes paired with two A-Pillar-Mounted tweeters to ensure crisp, defined tunes pouring out. Plus, depending on the mode you choose, the front door speaker trim lights can pulsate to the beat of the music. If you do not want flashing lights, set the mood with a steady glow of your choice of color. Always a fun way to get the excitement brewing in the car.

Although the music may be pumping, the comfort of the car has not been taken from it. The optional 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, with lumbar support, provides a comfortable driving position every time.

But, the other passengers are not left out. Ventilated seats offer three fan speeds to circulate air though the seats on warm days. Plus, heated front and rear seats are also available to keep everyone in the car happy in their own space. And with the panoramic sunroof with power sunshade, there is a terrific view from everyone in the car!

  • Bluetooth® Wireless Connectivity
  • Supervision Meter Cluster

Nonetheless, the 2014 Kia Soul has retained its iconic look… and has simply grown with the times. A stiffer exterior combined with a more plush interior continue to keep the Soul as a clear choice in its class.
